We’ll be blessed because we came.

People: Now is the acceptable time. This is the day of salvation.

All: Holy Spirit, Come! Let justice roll down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream!

Unison Prayer

O God of justice, miracles, and mighty deeds, we lift up to you those who have been silenced by hardship, affliction and injustice. Forgive us for not speaking up for the least of those among us. We confess that we have not exercised our influence and position to change things. Grant us the courage to be agents of change and instruments of justice. Empower us with the will and the desire to see your kingdom manifest on earth as it is already done in heaven. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Pastoral Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

          Silent Prayer

*Response             “Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying”                       No. 489

Lord, send your Spirit in this place;

Lord, listen to your children praying,

Send us love, send us power, send us grace.

*Prayer of Dedication

God of grace and goodness, your kingdom is not limited to the earth, but extends through the cosmos. At times when we feel like we carry the world on our shoulders, remind us that you have offered to carry that weight. As we give our gift this day, help us realize that our hope and security is not found in accumulating money and power, but in recognizing your kingly reign in our lives. We pray it in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.
