Pastoral Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Leader: Go out to serve. Someone needs you today. What you have to give will be helpful to someone.

People: We pray God will open our eyes to needs around us. We will look for ways to be helpful.

Leader: Go in the name of Jesus Christ, who sends us. Speak a healing word. Do a caring deed.

God binds up wounds for the brokenhearted. Surely God will empower our ministry.

Leader: God strengthens the powerless and helps the weak. God’s power will be in you when you pray.

People: We shall run and not be weary. We will serve in the strength God supplies. Amen.
